We are offering NHS flu and COVID-19 vaccinations to everyone who is eligible, and private flu and COVID-19 vaccinations for those who are not. Get your winter protection sorted at Chudleigh Pharmacy.

Who is eligible for a free NHS vaccination?

NHS flu vaccination

You can get a free NHS flu vaccine if you:

  • are aged 65 or over, including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2027
  • are aged 18 to 64 and have certain long-term health conditions
  • are pregnant
  • live in a care home
  • are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive Carer's Allowance
  • live with someone who has a weakened immune system
  • are experiencing homelessness or staying in a homeless hostel or night shelter

Frontline health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employer.

NHS COVID-19 vaccination

You can get an NHS COVID-19 vaccine if you:

  • are aged 75 or over, including those who will be 75 by 31 January 2027
  • are aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment
  • live in a care home for older adults

Most appointments take place from 1 October 2026. If you are pregnant, NHS flu appointments are available from 1 September 2026.

If you fall outside the NHS groups above, you can still protect yourself this winter. Private vaccinations are arranged by phone only and are subject to availability.

Private flu vaccination

£22.99

A single dose each autumn, using the current season's vaccine. Suitable for anyone who wants protection but isn't covered by the NHS programme — including many working-age adults and families.

Private COVID-19 vaccination

£95

A single dose for anyone not currently eligible on the NHS — popular ahead of winter, before travel, or for peace of mind around vulnerable family members.

Flu & COVID-19 vaccination FAQs

Do you offer NHS RSV vaccinations?
No — we do not offer NHS RSV vaccinations. If you are eligible, please contact your GP surgery or check the NHS website for local availability. We do offer RSV vaccination privately if you would prefer not to wait.
Can I have flu and COVID-19 vaccines at the same visit?
In many cases yes — it is common to have both together where both are available and appropriate for you. Mention it when booking or when you call, and we will arrange it where we can.
Why can't I book a private jab online?
Private flu and COVID-19 stock varies through the season, so we arrange these by phone to make sure we have the vaccine in for you before you make the journey. Call 01626 854977 and we will sort it out.
I'm not sure whether I'm eligible for a free NHS vaccine.
Give us a call or check the NHS website — eligibility depends on your age, health conditions, pregnancy, living arrangements and caring responsibilities. If you turn out not to be eligible, a private vaccination is available.
